inspircd 的上游作者 Adam <[email protected]> 发现修复 CVE-2012-1836 的 Debian 修补程序不完整。此外，它引入了一个问题，因为无效的 dns 数据包会造成无限循环。此上传修正了这些问题。

到目前为止，没有为这些 Debian 特定缺陷分配任何 CVE。

对于 Squeeze 发行版本，已在 inspircd 的版本 1.1.22+dfsg-4+squeeze2 中修复这些问题。
